“Each Christmas, Erica and I go to Buffalo to celebrate the holidays in the snow and with Erica’s extended family. Last Christmas I was training for a marathon which often meant Erica dropping me off in parks to run. On one early morning run at Chestnut Ridge Park, I snuck the ring with me on a run through the woods (note: running with engagement rings is very nerve racking). After the run was over, I told Erica I wanted to show her “something” I found in the park. Still sweating from the run (at least that’s what I am claiming!) I took Erica into a clearing, got on one knee, and asked her to be my wife. She agreed and we drove to her Mom’s house to let her know the good news. Soon after the run we had a “birthday dinner” at Chef’s (Erica’s favorite restaurant) for Erica (her birthday is in December). Little did she know (or her family know) that it was actually an engagement party that I had planned with her Dad and my Dad (he flew from California for the special event). Everyone got the spaghetti parm and had a great time!”
We didn’t just love Erica and Patrick’s proposal story, we thought they awesome too. Sweetness, loving and kindness just oozes out of them. Watch their highlight to see what we mean.
Thank you Erica and Patrick for letting us be a part of you wonderful wedding day!
